Game Summary
bugs.cash is an online multiplayer browser game where you command swarms of bugs competing for survival and dominance. Explore procedurally generated mazes in search of nektaar — the vital resource used to feed your nests and grow your progeny.
Choose your path: carefully expand into unclaimed territory, or take the aggressive route and raid other players to steal their nektaar and points. Build and defend nests, manage resources, and direct A.I.-controlled minions to outlast your rivals.
When enough points are gathered, the game shifts into Monster Mode — where all players must join forces against a menacing black bug that continually respawns as stronger and more dangerous versions of itself. Victories bring rare relics and lasting rewards.
Bugs.cash also functions as a Bitcoin Cash (BCH) faucet: when reserves are funded, in-game points may drop as fractions of BCH — offering curious players a playful introduction to the BCH ecosystem.
Optimized for both desktop and mobile browsers, bugs.cash blends resource management, survival mechanics, and multiplayer strategy into a fast-paced, replayable experience.
Future Plans
Long-term, simply giving away BCH isn’t sustainable. To address this, I plan to gradually integrate CashTokens into gameplay. Here are some of the ideas on the roadmap: Pokemon-style gameplay - The ability to convert game items into tokens to trade with other players (as cashtokens on external dapps) or to release back into the game world. bugs.cash CashToken drops – earnable items that might hold value because of the “proof of play” required to obtain them. I could also drop discount tokens for third party projects. Equippable CashTokens – for example, equipping a “BCH Guru” token might grant +2 health when equipped. Advertising on more platforms – The small playerbase has helped a lot with testing ideas and gameplay and getting the game running smoothly. In future I plan on focussing more on advertising the game
